We are based at Bayfield Hall Antiques & Interiors at Bayfield Hall between Holt and Blakeney on the north Norfolk coast.

<h2>Welcome to Old Painted Furniture</h2><p class="ql-align-center"><br></p><p>Over the last ninety years and spanning three generations we have been buying, selling and restoring English antique furniture. Over the last twenty years we have focused on the ever increasing demand for distressed painted finishes on pine, mahogany and oak, covering a wide range of styles and periods. Each piece of furniture is fully restored before being painted, using hand mixed flat matt emulsions so no two pieces are the same. We finish them with a beeswax and they are sympathetically distressed giving the appearance of original paint finishes. Our technique of distressing is what takes time and patience to achieve, it's a skill that we have honed for many years.</p>

<h2>Soft Neutral Colours and Tones</h2><p><br></p><p>We are very strict when it comes to the choice of colours and tones we use. So much so, in fact, that we now mix our own paints. This means that no two pieces are the same (unless requested of course!) We use only flat matt emulsions and seal the piece with a good quality clear beeswax. Having said this, we do try and stick as close to the famous Farrow &amp; Ball spectrum as possible. This inevitably is the choice range for most home settings.</p>

<h2>Subtle and Sympathetic Finishes</h2><p><br></p><p>Each piece of furniture is treated differently when it comes to creating the illusion of 100 years of wear, from the form of the piece (elegant side table or rustic country dresser) to the selected colour (pale soft tones to strong blues and greens.) We have established a reputation for creating good distressing and, more importantly, the right distressing where and when needed, simulating age and use while maintaining a crisp, fresh look.</p><h2><br></h2>

<h2>Nationwide Delivery</h2><p><br></p><p>Arrangements can be made for all of our furniture to be delivered anywhere in the mainland UK.</p><p>Please get in touch if you would require this service and we will be happy to supply a quote for delivery to your doorstep. Please request a delivery price when enquiring about an item of furniture. Typical costs for carriage are around £65 for a chest of drawers, £95 for a wardrobe.</p><p><br></p><h2>Local Delivery</h2><p>Local deliveries are made by us and include installation of any furniture requiring assembling.</p><p><br></p><h2>Collections</h2><p>Collection can be made from Bayfield Hall Antiques &amp; Interiors, Bayfield hall, Norfolk NR25 7JN or our workshops at Loddon, Norfolk NR14 6HD</p><p><br></p><h2>Payment</h2><p>Once a price (including delivery if needed) has been confirmed an invoice will be emailed to you with options for payment. This can be either BACS or card payment over the phone through our shop. Or if a local delivery is made cash on delivery is available also.</p><p><br></p><h2>Returns</h2><p>If when the item arrives you feel that it is not as described then you may hand the item back to the carriers and they will return the item to us. You will then be refunded the cost of the item minus the original shipping cost. This option can only be done at the moment of delivery.</p><p><br></p><p>If you decide after the delivery day that you would like to return the item, the buyer is responsible for any shipping costs incured getting the item back to us. Once received we will refund the cost of the item back to you minus any shipping costs.</p><p><br></p><p>We try our very best to make sure you are happy with the item and know exactly what to expect when shipping items to you so if you have any concerns please don't hesitate to contact us before the delivery date and we will be happy to help in any way we can.</p>

A fine quality mid 19th Century mahogany bankers fitting. Believed to originate from a London merchant bankers office. A central two door cupboard with two drawers below flanked by matching two door cupboards both housing fitted drawers and filling storage. 

Two shelves above with shaped gallery upstand to top with brass rods at each end. Perfect to mount on a floor standing unit or could be free hanging on a wall with the correct fittings.
